My Vision for the world

Growing up in a country where they so much believed in traditions, culture, and religion that discriminate against women and girls, I was moved with passion to fight the course of women and girls in Nigeria.

“Unfortunately” as a Nigerian woman I was born into that system and know how it pains, this is why I seek avenue and knowledge to liberate women from this menace in the name of tradition, culture, and religion that left us in perpetual bondage.

As a teenage girl, I hate cheating and would always see me fighting for those that are cheated and a friend said to me one day that you don’t fight for yourself you always fight for people and I told her yes it’s because I hate cheating.

I purposed within me to study Law at the University so as to fight the course of the disadvantage in the society, fortunately for me I got admission into a professional institute to study Journalism; I thought an end has come to my vision of fighting to defend the course of women and girls but later discovered that I can still use my pen to protect the powerless by drive home my points.

I also purposed in my heart that I would not leave this world without fulfilling the purpose of which I am created and without leaving a mark on the surface of the earth that I came, I saw and conquered the odds of tradition, culture and religion against women and girls in the society.

In a developing country like Nigeria where they so much believe in tradition, culture and religion it’s my desire to put an end to the discrimination against women and girls or reduce it to the beeriest minimal.

When I find myself in the journalism profession, I decided to join the association of the female wings, Nigerian Association of Women Journalists Kwara State chapter and today am the Treasurer so as to be part of the decision making body on issues that relates to women and girls in the society. However am not satisfied being the Treasurer am aspiring to be come the Chairperson of the association to sell my opinion to other female journalists so as to make the fight a free for all fight in eradicating the discrimination against women and girls and enable me use the office for issues related to women, girls and children.

With this crusade the whole world will hear how tradition, culture and religion aided the discrimination against women and girls in Nigeria and measure taking to eradicate them.

Why I want to be one of the correspondents is that I share the same vision with Pulsewire and want them to help me in actualizing my dream. I set a targeted goal and hope that if am trained in the area of the new media and social networking I will be able to do justice in eradicating the discrimination tradition and religion has brought against women and girls in our society.

Also as a correspondent with Pulse wire, I stand the chance of acquiring more knowledge and skills in reporting women and girls related issues and also have access to global audiences.

I will also make supportive friends that can contribute their own quota in solving the problem of women and girls in my country.

I will also have access to the support and encouragement Pulsewire gives to women and girls.

This will help me to achieve my vision of eradicating discrimination against women and girls in Nigeria because as a correspondent when an issue is raised in the Pulsewire community it has become a global issue and an end has come to such a problem.

It will also help me to make supportive friends that share the same vision with me among the correspondents so that we can together eradicate the discrimination against women and girls from our societies and better their lives.

I will also have access to the support and encouragement Pulsewire gives to correspondents in bringing to past their vision.
