Introducing myself and my journal: CreativeBeth

About Me:
I am a Denver native and mom to two awesome girls. I'm currently attending Metropolitan State University of Denver in pursuit of a convergent journalism degree, and I work two part time jobs and am a freelance writer to boot! My writing has appeared on Hello Giggles, Elephant Journal, and The Good Men Project. I have been a Volunteer Coordinator for One Billion Rising since its inception, and planned successful events in 2013 and this year. I throw my full effort and passion into everything I undertake, and am a full (and loud) supporter of feminist and LGBTQ causes. As a bisexual woman and mother to a gender-fluid teen, LGBTQ equality and advocacy are extremely important to me. I volunteer regularly at Urban Peak, Denver's only youth homeless shelter.

I am a mild traumatic brain injury survivor, a yoga enthusiast, hiker, dancer, and lover of life! I have an irrational love for the color turquoise and my spirit animal is dragonfly. I am blessed to be dating an incredible man who is just as authentic and honest as I am. It makes for a deep connection and profound conversation.

I'm happy to be here and connect with other passionate women!
