Nairobi Arrival!

WOW! I am nearly bursting with excitement, having just arrived in Nairobi after an overnight flight from India.

I watched the bright stars over the Indian ocean turn into a fiery sunrise that simmered for hours. It was as gorgeous and glowing as in our World Pulse itinerary photos! I saw the tip of Mt. Kenya over a sea of clouds and descended into the friendly \"town\" of Nairobi!

After many months of planning, I finally really felt—this is happening, and it's already a dream come true.

It is cool and rainy today in Nairobi!
Consider bringing an umbrella and/or light rain jacket if you have one!
I am told that this cool rain is a break in a very hot spell, so be prepared for that, too!

Re: Visas, FYI I purchased a Visa on arrival and it couldn't have been easier. The wait was only half an hour or so, though this could be different for each of you depending on your arrival time. On the plane you'll be given a yellow card to fill out for immigration. (This has nothing to do with your yellow vaccination card, which you do not need for Kenya if you are coming from North America).

Off the plane, you will follow the lines towards Visa area. Fill in the big white sheet of paper, not the blue card, and get in line for VISAS. When you are done, the baggage claim area is just 2 seconds away, and our taxi will be waiting there just for you.

Note: the visa on arrival is just $25 and allows access to other East Africa countries as well (Rwanda, Uganda). You do not need a multiple entry visa. Have exact change in US dollars ready. They will take your photo electronically and scan your finger prints. I brought printed passport photos but did not need to use them.

Hope this information is helpful. Looking forward while savoring the present...:)
