Humanity Is God

In his book, The God delusion, Richard Dawkins wrote that , 'there is no position on which people are so immovable as their religious beliefs'

We have managed to change the way do things over the years.
We have also managed to abandon certain beliefs and cultures. We have managed to change many things around us in our personal lives and in the way we live.
However, Despite the many changes we have made, one thing still remains the same. And I find it very disappointing.
What remains the same is our view on God.
It is how we interpret God.
We still think that there is someone or something out there based in some place we call Heaven.
We still think that this thing we call God needs things like religion, so-called holy books such as the Bible and the Koran and many of the 'holy' books around, for us to get his attention.

We are still stuck in the same old idea that this person or thing, whatever it is, we call God sent prophets here on Earth to represent him. Prophets such as Jesus or Mohammed and many other so-called representatives of God on earth.

We are so stuck in defending such old ideas. Some go to the extent of killing others in the name of defending their opinions about God.
You only need to listen to church-leaders preaching to their followers. They deliberately try to convince their followers that when it comes to God, they know better than anyone else and other churches are on the wrong side.
You only need to see Moslems and Christians for example killing each other. Asked why? It's because one claims to know God Much better than the other.

You only need to start a conversation about God and you will regret it at the end because if there is any conversation that leads to violence, it is the one about God.

And when all this happens, has anyone wondered where God would be?
Such a person or thing , whatever it is that has got all the power as we say, why does he need other people to explain him to others? Isn't he capable himself of showing those who are 'wrong' about him the truth about him? Or is he disabled such that he needs others to defend him ?

Is it not time that we change our views about God?
What if God as we know him now, never existed?
What if there is no other God except us? What if we as humanity are the God we have been fighting for, For so long?
What if we are the almighty humanity?

What we need now is to treat each other as one people. This means we will not kill each other, we will not hate each other, we will fight for each other. We will honor each other and begin to understand that it is the person next to us whom we should respect and treat with love and not some God we have no idea where he is.

In my book, God Does Not Exist http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LJRYKKY I wrote that if there is such a thing as God, then he is based here on earth and that God is humanity itself.
For example, when we pray for something, our answers don't fall from the sky but our answers to our prayers are already here on earth, meaning that God is here on earth and Humanity is God, We are God as humanity.

Take the example of a woman praying for a good man, Will the good man fall from the sky or from the so-called Heaven? Certainly Not. The good man that the woman is praying for is already here on earth and it is not the so-called God in heaven that will give the woman a good husband but it is the attitude of the woman, her actions and the way she treats the people she meets that will lead this woman to find the man she is looking for. The good man is already here on earth, whoever seeks him shall find him.

Another example is that of people praying for financial security, Will money fall from the sky? Certainly not.
Money is here on earth and whoever seeks it, shall find it.

Whatever we wish to have is already here on earth. Our answers to our prayers are already here on earth. This then challenges us to start not to look to the sky expecting some magic from a God in a so-called heaven but we should start to look at each other as humanity and learn to treat each other with respect.
The person next to you might be the good man you have been praying for.
The person you met yesterday and you did not greet him/her might be the person who has the information you need. He/She might know a company looking to employ a person like you.

The next time you meet people, connect with them, be friends with them, stop wasting your time putting more emphasis on prayers to a God in heaven.
What you need is to put more focus on connecting with people. Start friendly conversation with people you meet, smile, be open to people, love people, respect them, cherish them and believe me, one of them has the answer to your prayers, one of them has the solution to your problems.

In Humanity I trust.
