Introducing myself and my journal: Nepali Girls ROCK! by Joe Staiano

About Me:
I've used my two decades of experience in responsible tourism and personal destination knowledge spanning 75 countries on 7 continents and founded MeaningfulTrips.

MeaningfulTrips is a unique social enterprise where tour participants learn about and lend support to global development issues (women, youth, education, health, poverty and social justice). Support is also given to programs addressing hunger and poverty right here in the USA. I am passionate about the power that meaningful travel has in affecting positive economic, environmental and social development, and additionally providing persons (whether travelers or not) with a tool kit for continuing their engagement on important issues in their everyday lives.

At home in Seattle, I am very involved in the non-profit and microfinance communities. I volunteers with International Refugee Committee, and Sierra Club Inner City Outings. My favorite thing to do... kayaking... among whales!

My Passions:
Meaningful Travel

My Challenges:
Finding the perfect slice of pizza

My Vision for the Future:
More JOY

My Areas of Expertise:
Distributing joyfulness
