What a Society!

Life could be so unbeareable mostimes but when you share your worries and past with others, you tend to get a certain kind of relief. How do i start this and end it? WOMEN... why are we treated with disdain? My mother was married to a man from another community in Nigeria and they had a child, some years later the man died and that is where her predicament started. She was put through the worst nightmare of her life. The corpse was washed and she was asked to drink the water to prove that she did not kill her husband and her child was taken from her.

She nearly died, was alienated from everybody for 6 months thinking she was going to die but God kept her and everything was taken away from her. The only Child, her husbands properties, accounts etc. I am that child today who has also gone through her fair share of bad times...fighting for my parents properties from relatives and they getting to tell me that a woman does not have a say as i am not a male child and i dont have the right to land. i have succeeded in the fight and i have taken back all for my mother who couldnt fight for her right and i am now saying WOMEN ARISE AND MOVE because it is time to fight for our rights as human beings.
