LA DIGNITE DE LA FEMME

L’Article 3 du Protocole à la Charte Africaine des Droits de l’Homme et des Peuples relatif aux Droits des Femmes dispose que : « toute femme a droit au respect de la dignité inhérente à l’être humain, à la reconnaissance et à la protection de ses droits humains et légaux. Elle a aussi droit au respect de sa personne et au libre développement de la personnalité ».
Partant de cet article, Il serait mieux que les Etats adoptent et mettent en œuvre les mesures appropriées en vue d’interdire toute exploitation des femmes ou tout traitement dégradant à leur égard, et afin d’assurer la protection du droit de la femme au respect de sa dignité et sa protection contre toute formes de violence, notamment la violence sexuelle et verbale.

The dignity of woman

Article 3 of the Protocol to the African Charter of Human and Peoples' Rights, pertaining to the Rights of Women, states that \"all women have the right to respect for the inherent dignity of the human being, to recognition, and to the protection of all of their human and legal rights. They also have the right to respect for their personhood and to free development of her personality.\"
Departing from this article, it would be best if the States adoped and put into action the appropriate measures so as to forbid all exploitation of women and any degrading treatment towards them, so as to protect women's rights to respect for their dignity and protection against all forms of violence, notably sexual and verbal violence.
