Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
Hello World Pulse Community! My name is Megan Keaveney and I am a young woman passionate about women's rights and increasing our collective voices around the world. I am half Irish, half Japanese and grew up in the US. I have had the good fortune to speak to women in a variety of different environments across many countries and think that World Pulse is a wonderful forum for women to share their stories and help us find community in the most unlikely of places.

One of my favorite quotes is an African proverb:
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

I think this quote reigns true for this site as well. If we want to affect real social change, even on the most individual of levels, it all begins with us sharing our stories. Thank you for visiting my page!

My Passions:
people, exploring the world and other cultures, public health, social enterprise, and oral histories.

My Challenges:
My inability to stay in one place for too long. But maybe that's not such a bad thing these days :)

My Vision for the Future:
A world of equity for all, particularly women, in which women are free to discovery their passions irrespective of their gender constraints, educational levels, or pasts.

My Areas of Expertise:
Project management, workshop facilitation, community development
