Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
Life Alive Collaborative supports women who want to live their best lives.

Through online self-reflective and inspirational course curriculum and weekly conference style empowerment call options, small groups of women join together in living rich powerful lives.

Mission: To facilitate women building increased self-awareness and strength to live inspired, growth oriented lives.
The small-group, e-course approach creates a catalyst for incremental positive growth and learning through collective wisdom. Courses build connections while allowing for personal and meaningful realizations towards living a Life Alive.

About the founder:
Emily Rolando holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in business. She has a thirst for learning, passion for seeking and a determination for never settling for less than she believes in.

She has been leading and facilitating kids, adolescents, and adults since 2006. Since then, Emily has spent hundreds of hours facilitating groups and circles with adolescents, adults and peers. Her first experience in a single gender group came after a women’s leadership course in college. The ladies became so close a group of them decided to form a group which gathered for semesters thereafter. Emily also has experience in working in leadership and management, supervising a staff team of 70+, and writing articles for blogs such as Tiny Buddha.

My Passions:
Being physically active: running, road/mountain biking, backpacking, racquetball, etc… I have backpacked over 3,500 miles. Interested in health, I hold an EMT and Wilderness First Responer certificates. I also enjoy cooking and eating healthy tasty food.

My Challenges:
Too many ideas and things I want to be a part of. High expectations of myself. I see challenges as opportunities for growth and things that I am good at sometimes provide challenge as well as those which I can improve upon. Always room to grow!

My Areas of Expertise:
Personal growth and development, women's groups, facilitation, coaching, teaching, backpacking.
