Introducing myself and my journal: WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

About Me:
Am Linet Nasimiyu Nyongesa from Kitale Kenya, was born in 1987,in a village on the slopes of Mt. Elgon.I schooled in the village and went to college where i trained agriculture and community development.Currently am the associate director of the Kipsongo Project which is a slum in Kitale.I like working with people in the slum together with my friends.Am happy doing empowerment work and see the women in the slum succeed and being happy with their life. seeing one family or person transformed is my joy and it gives me the strength to go to work the next day. Am excited to have been introduced to this program by my workmate and i hope together we can be the change we want among women.

i face challenges when at times you go to a slum and you talk to young people and they don't adopt the idea that you have that you think is helpful to them.

My Vision for the Future:
is to live to see the lives of my friends in the slum changed to the bettter and help young girls and women realise their position in the society and need for education.
