Introducing myself and my journal: Village Economist



About Me:
I am a Kenyan male born and bred in Kisumu, on the shores of Lake Victoria but currently work with the communities in Kwale County in the Coastal region for the last sixteen years. I work with community organizations with bias to human rights in an effort to sensitize communities to be aware of their rights including gender equity, child and women rights.



The Kenyan Constitution enacted in August 2010, has a whole chapter of the Bill of Rights which has enormous opportunities for gender development especially the right of women and children to own property-something that was unheard of in the previous Constitution.
