WHAT MOST EXCITES YOU ABOUT WEB 2.0;

What excites me about Web 2.0 is that now, my voice will be amplified. I shall develop networks, and collaborate with other change-makers around the world. My stories shall be shared globally on the Internet and thereby interact, share, and create information together online.

With Web 2.0 I shall have the power of information at my hands. I will become a writer, editor, publisher, and distributor. I will be abel to create a global network of supporters by using online social networking communities such as PulseWire, Facebook, or Twitter. Through the interactions with other citizen journalists and community organizers online, I shall be able to expand my readership, get feedback on my ideas and projects, and collaborate with others from around the world. I will be able to write about my own life, make friends I have never met, upload photos, and engage in dialogue about things important me and my group. With Web 2.0 I shall have the power of information in my hands.

WEB 2.0 brings along the following solutions:
1) Networking - it will bring together people with similar visions for brainstorming solutions, posing questions and testing ideas. Sharing successes and taking action as in the cases of Lindy Wafula and Ushahidi group.
2) It will be a forum for Dialogue as pertains to various women’s political participation, gender-based violence. It will feature women as news subjects and challenge gender stereotypes far more often than men ie. Halima.
3) 2.0 will provides us with a historical opportunity to promote our voices, strengthen collaboration, and accelerate the exchange of working models for women’s empowerment and global challenges.
4) A new generation of grassroots women leaders will emerge online.
