Introducing myself and my journal: Development, Peacebuilding, and the Arts

About Me:
I am a mother, a student, a theatrical stagehand, a union executive, a feminist, and an activist living in Ottawa, Canada.

I am constantly learning and love to meet people.
It is empowering to talk to women and understand their perspective on their corner of the globe; women share so many commonalities, and the love of the arts is universal. As the arts play such an important role worldwide, I am interested in finding out more about what can be done to aid development, create equality, reduce/eradicate gender violence, and promote peace. I am also very interested in labour relations, fair trade, ethical trade and living wages. I will be attending St. Paul's University in Ottawa, Canada for Conflict Studies starting in September.

My Passions:
Travel, reading, music, theatre, dance, writing

My Challenges:
Scheduling and organization

My Vision for the Future:
A coming together to celebrate our commonalities, not our differences.

My Areas of Expertise:
Research, writing, networking, PR, theatre
