Introducing myself and my journal: Hide and Seek

About Me:
I am 61 years old, a political activist since I was 22. I have been an organizer of workers, peasants, Indigenous Peoples and urban poor communities. I am now a freelance writer, editor and researcher.

My Passions:
I'm not Oprah Winfrey. The word passions has become such a cliche. I do love to write about the women and food that have nourished me, about the people who kept me alive in times of danger, and other memories of an interesting if rather hard life.

My Challenges:
Staying true to my vision while continuing to be flexible and evolve as a woman and an activist.

My Vision for the Future:
The planet, still intact, still viable; people leading simple but productive lives.
