Liberation!

As I gazed from afar
I saw nothing but horizon
For my eyes were closed
From the beauty of my nation

I never refused to see
The bountiful wealth of my country
But big businesses robbed us with impunity
Leaving us into deep poverty

Liberalized mining hoards our mineral wealth
Trees were cut down, our mountains languish
The people are displaced, their homes perished
In search for gold, mining corporations see us as filth?

In the name of greed, the environment wails
I see my people stood up without a fail
But the government remains deaf, mining prevailed
What future will this bring to the children of today?

Now I can't see the beauty of my nation
All I can witness is the struggle against oppression
In defense of the national patrimony against aggression
Together with my people we will march for liberation.#
