Just yesterday the world celebrated the Mother's Day. The social networking sites, radios and television channels were bombarding us with emssages and advertisements.
My 'teta' (the word for grand-mother in Arabic) and I have a special bond. As a single mom, it wasn't always easy for my mom to raise me and take care of me. But, she had help from my Teta Yvonne.
I grew up in a noisy house with a lot of activity, officers coming over to catch up with dad over a cocktail and their wives seeking my mom's company, culinary tips and what not.
