Ten years have elapsed since UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security was adopted. What progress has been made on its implementation?
In my country Kenya, we had general elections in 2007. The Presidential results were rigged (by both sides, I believe) and so violence broke out in the early months of 2008.
Recently I got a chance of attending a conference, 'Gender, Peace and Security 2010'. The conference was held in Munich, Germany from 9th-10 July.
