How We Resist

Some forms of resistance are highly visible: a street protest, for example. But this is just one of thousands of different ways people have found to create change.

Resistance can be political organizing. It can be talking to your kids about the world. It can be building relationships with neighbors. It can be putting your money where your values are. It can be refusing to be complicit in oppression. Simply daring to exist and persist can be an act of resistance.

How do you resist oppression? Let’s share our stories of acts of resistance. What inspiring actions have you taken part in or witnessed in your community?

What’s working? What’s not working? What challenges or risks do you face when you stand up for what you believe in? Tell us about the results you have seen, and what others can learn from you and your journey. You may wish to include images or videos to illustrate your story.

Let’s inspire each other and celebrate resistance in all its forms.
