Introducing myself and my journal: Empowers

About Me:
I'm happy to be connected to World Pulse.

I live and work in a town just East of Sacramento, California, called Folsom. I make my living by communicating or by helping those in my corporation to communicate with their audiences more effectively. I also help employees in my company to do better and make smarter decisions with their money through an internal social forum I call Money Matters. In addition, I frequently speak to our very diverse female employees uniquely to empower them about building their wealth and protecting it.

In college, I studied Spanish and have traveled, lived, studied, and worked abroad in several Spanish speaking countries. I also studied Communication Studies and achieved a Masters Degree in the field, focusing on organizational and intercultural communications.

Today, I'm a mother of two school-age sons, and my husband and I (who were both raised by single mothers), are raising our boys to believe in the power of women and to respect women for all their gifts and contributions. My husband is a stay-at-home daddy who supports and empowers me and our family in so many good ways.

I titled my journal, "Empowers," because of my name and it also describes my personality; my name is Ellen Mary Powers (E.M.Powers)--most people just call me El--and what fulfills me, is to 'empower' others to be their very best selves.

I hope you are having a good day, World Pulse members!
