How to Get Involved

I can involve rural women of Kashmir from the districts of Baramulla & Bandipora to take a lead in self-sufficiency through small Enterprises. As mentioned in who I’m impacting, I am targeting self-help groups that already existent in Kashmir. They are well groomed but lack digital or ICT skills. What I need to do is to teach them the use of digital media to lead their entrepreneurship. Women can be active conveyors of ideas and information through their use of digital ICT skills. It has been proved that the use of mobile phones and the internet can yield positive socio-economic benefits for the societies around the world especially developing countries like India. At the micro level, studies have identified a positive relationship between income generation, owing a mobile phone and internet use. The use of digital media like mobiles and internet can result in increased livelihood activities and enhance skills.
