Being gratitude to small things.

While things are going easily in life, being thankful is simple and easy. But, when things are getting tough and situations are getting worst in life are we thankful?

To be thankful to our family, friends and surroundings during happy times is not a big thing. To be grateful to all of those people when life gives a strong negative blow is what it matters. Life can be tough and being appreciative can every now and then be a demanding duty. On occasion, we can centre a lot on what is going incorrect in our lives that we forget the blessings of god, parents and our well wishers has given us.

Practically speaking being gratitude is not possible for all people at all time. I was talking to one of my senior mentor of how can I be gratitude at all time? Is that possible for me?

She replied saying

  • Be appreciative and obliged for little, little happenings. It can be enough to move you into gratitude.

  • Make a listing of so as to you are thankful for. It’s similar to a happiest tune for appreciation and gratitude.

I understood that we have to be thankful not only to big things that take place in our life, but also to small incidents that take place now and then in life.

So I made a list of small events that took place yesterday in my life for which I feel gratitude and happy towards the end of the day.

  1. I was grateful for an unknown person who helped me in crossing the road at the peak hours of traffic. May be he should be busy with his work, but he spend five minutes to help me in crossing the road. I am not sure is that a big or small help, but a help is always a help and being gratitude for that little help made be to get a satisfied feeling.

  2. I was grateful that my sister cooked my favourite egg rice and avacado smoothie for my lunch, in spite of her busy schedule.

  3. I was grateful to my student who voluntarily fixed the sound system in computer in my class, so that the audio library class went smoothly.

  4. I was thankful to the courier man who delivered the parcel sent to me at the right time.

  5. I was thankful to all the people who was with me yesterday who kept me active, kept me enthusiastic and made me to understand that being thankful to small things in life is more essential.

So my dear sisters, happiness is not in great things or events. It lies in simple things and being thankful to those happenings. I hope you all will make a list of those small, small incidents that take place in your life and be grateful for that.

I tried it just for a day and the impact that left in my mind is magical and amazing. I hope the same will happen in your mind also.

Have a wonderful week ahead.
