This International Women’s Day, shout your vision for change.

2020 was a historic year for setting women back. What if 2021 was historic for moving us forward? At this pivotal moment in history, World Pulse calls on women across the globe to rise up, speak out, and share our visions for a better post-pandemic future.

We know that every woman’s voice can make a difference and that when women are heard and connected, we can transform this global crisis into a better future for us all. Join us this International Women’s Day as we shout our visions for change, encourage each other, and make history — together.

This call for stories closed on Mar 22, 2021 at 11:59 PM GMT. If you have a story to share on this topic, go here.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Reflect on 2020 and the opportunities ahead in 2021 to create a better post-pandemic world. What needs to change? What is possible?
  • When historians look back at this turning point in history, what do you hope they will say about women’s leadership?
  • Write a letter of encouragement to someone in your life, or the global community.
  • Tell us about an issue that affects your community. What solutions are working? What solutions are still needed?
  • Post an original poem, song, painting, or photograph to share your vision and commemorate this moment in history.
  • If you’re new to the community, introduce yourself and your unique vision for change.
  • Tell us your fears, hopes, and dreams for the future. Let us encourage you.
  • Share a commitment or resolution for creating change—what will you do in the year ahead to bring about a better world?

No matter what story you have to share in this monumental moment, share it here.  On 8 March, we’ll do what World Pulse sisters do best: We’ll log on to lift each other up through encouraging comments, connections, and messages of solidarity.

This call for stories is part of World Pulse’s 2021 International Women’s Day digital event. On March 8, we’ll gather during a special Encourager Party to provide support to each storyteller. When you share your story, you’ll also have a chance to receive a Story Award!
