Give yourself some kindness and take a breather

This entry is perhaps just a gentle reminder for everyone and myself included:

With life going all hectic trying to live by, with all the busy schedule from the moment one wake up to the moment they get back to bed. Many of us would tend to turn on their autopilot mode to get through the day, some to simply trying their hardest to put food on the table for the family, some trying their hardest striving to make a change for good be it workplace and/or their personal lives. Some simply trying their hardest to battling and providing care alongside their family member illnesses just to see them live on just another one more day.

If you happen to be one of those described as above, you might have overlook one important aspect of life too, your very own wellbeing, your very own mental hygiene, and your very own physical health. When was your last time you sit with yourself to hear yourself out? When was the last time you took proper care of yourself? When was the last time you put yourself first before everyone else? When was the last time you had a rest to recalibrate yourself (to rest and prioritise your needs & wants)?

For this entry is just, I'm would gently love to remind you to take a step back, pause everything you are doing for just a few minutes. Take a good deep breath, inhale the air deeply where the air reaches your belly, hold it there for a couple of seconds, focus on the breath movement when you exhale out and notice how your body responds to it.

Tell yourself that you matter, your health matters and that you my dear friend, you are loved.

Yours truly,

Su Juen (Note: This entry may not be about self empowerment, however a very basic entry to remind one to take some time off to be more mindful and care for themselves especially during the pandemic)
