About Me: I am a survivor of non-state torture in my childhood and as a young woman. I use my survivor 'story', writing and art work in activism to break the silence for my-Self and to stand for all women and children so harmed by torture in the private sphere. I contribute my work in the UK and Canada to raise awareness in naming non-state torture as a human rights violation and criminalising non-state torture.
My Passions: human rights, awe, travel, art, music, photography
My Challenges: for all persons to know non-state torture as a crime
My Vision for the Future: equal human rights recognition for women and children who have endured non-state torture
My Areas of Expertise: 'speaking' as a woman who endured non-state torture
