Story
As I was growing up in ghana I naturally had leadership skills. I was always seen teaching my neighbours children . At that young age I felt I could conquer the world and achieve anything I set my heart to.But as I grew up I learnt as much as my single parent mother tried her best to give me the best in life by working hard I did not get it all.I grew in a community which had a high number of single mothers who worked hard to put their children through school.
Some years back whiles I was in university I had to support a teenage boy through a term in order for him to get the opportunity to write his exams that year. His mother did her best to see him through school but she was not earning much. After his education I helped him get a job in the city.In the city a radio competition was organised and he participated. For a young man who had no formal education in journalism, he impressed the judges and though he did not win he was employed by the radio station that organised the competition. It is my desire to help young people with single parents get their dreams come true by getting good education and the training they require to get jobs or even establish their own businesses.
