Story
My dear young daughter, you see how it is all so crazy. They can move from Congo to America, but their habit, their character doesn’t change. This man thought that it would be like it was in Congo; such things are handled among the men. Maybe a cow for your family and the issue would be settled. His dad, his grandpa, his grandpa’s grandpa, they never saw the value of girls. I could wish that this guy would get a sentence of 175 years to make a strong statement about the value of girls. Rest in Peace my precious.
Your cry is filling and bouncing off the inner chambers of my heart. I know you were special. But they wouldn’t see it, couldn’t see it; blind, ignorant. Your innocence, your naiveite, your promise – only 16 years old – I miss YOU my daughter! You exemplify so many that have gone before you. May you be the last. May your cry demand to be heard. May they hear YOU!
Out of the grave we arise, because we must. Dead yet alive, out of the tomb we will walk into our future.
