The Story I'll tell.

Story
The physical me is aching to share a story well known to the world right now, a story of destruction and chaos. A story of anger and hunger. A story of resentment exploded and dignity stripped of young educated people by unemployment. A story of how corruption has held the brush that painted and tainted our nation, our beautiful, diverse, rooted in divine love nation, South Africa. The physical me is aching to tell that story, but it is not the story I'll tell. I will tell the story of a young single mom unemployed who amidst the chaos, wakes up in the morning to bake in order to make rent money at the end of the month. I will tell the story of granny's with garage preschool facilities who vow in deed to keep their neighbors children safe and somewhat stimulated while they attend to under-paying jobs. I will tell the the story of a young man who re-purposes plastic to create art in order to create an income. I will tell the story of the foreigner who in townships, sells eggs in singles to help feed a community that cannot afford a dozen. The story of a stranger from another town who fills up their truck with bread to go feed those who do not have. Those who act without obligation, showing up to do what needs to be done. I am telling the story of people who are moved by Humanity.
The Legos in our nation, the builders of structures that cannot be burnt down by politics and curruption. The keepers of Ubuntu who understand the impact of holding hands and carrying loads together. The ones with arms stretched out and sleeves rolled up, even amidst the chaos.
With a deep understanding of why what happened, happened in my country, with sadness in my heart as I look at the casualties, but most importantly, with Hope in every Fibre of my being, I anticipate the shinning of a new sun, the birth of a new level of unity and love that transcends the evil of curruption. I anticipate the rainbow in our nation covering every dark corner and the devine love I speak of, I, beyond just feeling it, see it bringing us back into the light. This is the story I tell to the world outside our borders, as it holds its breathe in prayer and speak wellness over us.
I want to say thank you to the Pulse sisters, we felt your love throughout this time. And we receive all the words of encouragement and continue to draw strength from your prayers over of country. Thank you for all your support.
